If you moved to Athens, or never listened to a Dawgs Football game before 2008 then I am sorry for you.  You missed out on the greatest all time sports announcer in the history of the world. I don’t say that just because I am a fan, but because it’s the truth. He won numerous awards over his career and he had his own unique spin on how a game should be called.  If you have.  I would urge the current, and last 13 years of students to go back and listen to some old games that involved Larry Munson.  He really made you feel the intensity of what happens in a Georgia football game.  He made you feel that incredible stress of a close game. And he made you know that he was also a huge fan himself, not just by supporting the team, but how he would talk about the players, the plays, the coaches, and the outcomes of a game.  Take a look at this quick video via Twitter, but from the SEC Network.  This is just a glimpse of an old Athens Fall Saturday.  I remember looking forward to every weekend, listening to Georgia games, just before I would play Pop Warner myself.
